What is Traditional Oriental Medicine?
Traditional Oriental Medicine is a comprehensive primary care that treats the whole person; we utilize such modalities as Qigong (energetics), Acupuncture, Shiatsu massage,
Herbal medicine and dietary recommendations.
The medicine is rooted in the understanding of Qi (chee), the energetic foundation of all things. The proper physiological function and health of a person depends on the circulation of Qi through a network of 'channels' or 'meridians,' similar to the nervous or circulatory systems.
When the bodily flow of Qi is disrupted or blocked, pain and dis-ease result.
Oriental Medicine excels at treating chronic and progressive states of disease, and is very effective as preventative care, whether it be an immune and allergic response, or simply the effects of aging.
